Muscat – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has called upon all commercial and industrial establishments to abide by the precautionary measures set to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and the decisions issued by the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling the developments resulting from COVID-19 pandemic.

The ministry urged all commercial establishments to cut down the number of visitors in their outlets by 50 per cent of the total capacity.

The establishments are also required to ensure their customers compliance with all precautionary measures, including wearing face masks and observing 2m physical distance.

‘Commercial outlets have to sanitise shopping trolleys and surfaces, provide customers with sterilisers and ask them to show the two-dose vaccination certificate, among other precautions,’ MoCIIP said in a statement issued on Monday, noting that its teams will intensify checks on commercial and industrial activities to ensure compliance.
