Patients are further assured of quality care and world-class health services

Abu Dhabi - The Joint Commission International (JCI), the world’s largest healthcare accreditor, has awarded the Gold Seal of Approval to Healthpoint, the super-specialty destination hospital in Abu Dhabi, for its superior standards in full-cycle healthcare and patient safety. The accreditation is considered the gold standard in global healthcare and recognizes Healthpoint’s commitment to world-class services. Healthpoint, part of Mubadala’s network of world-class healthcare providers, joins its sister companies Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in claiming this international accreditation.

The medical staff and physicians at Healthpoint joined efforts to assist the JCI auditors in policies and procedures assessment, survey implementation, preparatory activities and staff training. Involving 21 medical clinics and departments, plus all supporting departments and services, the stringent evaluation was carried out across medical services, medical management, hospital environment and leadership.

The Joint Commission International improves the quality of patient care by assisting international healthcare organizations. For patients, a JCI accreditation means Healthpoint ensures a safe environment that reduces risks for both caregivers and care recipients. Also, there are now quantifiable benchmarks for quality and patient safety, a standard and reliable process that is stimulated, demonstrated continuously, and improvements that are sustained. Most of all, the JCI accreditation allows for enhance efficiency and reduces costs through standardized care resulting to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
