Decathlon Egypt Opens its largest store in Egypt at Mall of Arabia 2,500 sqm with a test zone area only for you!

Cairo – Egypt: - The Global sports goods company Decathlon which opened last year in the East of Cairo, is now open in the West of Cairo at Mall of Arabia.

Its main purpose is to make sports accessible to as many Egyptians and sports enthusiasts as possible. With their focus on providing good quality with low prices, Decathlon Egypt aims at spreading awareness on sports and making sports goods available to everyone.

Decathlon’s store will be located within the second phase of MARAKEZ’s flagship Mall of  Arabia namely “The Expansion” which goes in line with MARAKEZ’s strategy to create a retail hub for West Cairo’s residents, offering the best local and international brands under one roof.

“Our goal is to become the preferred sport store of the Egyptians. To reach this goal, we expect to hire a strong team with employees of all horizons. People who love sports. People who believe that sport has a great role to play in terms of development and integration in Egypt. No matter what their social level or education is. We have a strong internal training academy, and aim at developing our employees to let them take more responsibilities in the company.” Country Manager Decathlon Egypt, Mr. Eric Bodhuin commented.

“The Decathlon brand has been incredibly successful since its launch in Egypt. Bringing Decathlon to Mall of Arabia enriches the retail experience for all of West Cairo and reinforces Mall of Arabia’s position as the premier shopping destination," said Basil Ramzy, CEO of MARAKEZ. “Decathlon’s decision to have their largest and first store at West Cairo at Mall of Arabia is a testament of the rich and diversified experience to our mall visitors”, he added.

“The vision for the next 10 years is to expand and open more stores in other cities all over Egypt and this is to make sure we cover the widest variety or sports people and customers in different zones in Egypt.” said the Country Expansion Manager Mr. Abdelrahman Ahmed. “We have to make sure that we exist where we are needed and this is why we came to the west. Now we cover

2 main areas in Cairo in addition to our website where you can order online through: www.decathlon.eg ; to be able to answer the needs of the market and we look forward to cover more”, he added.

“Our main target is to provide our customers (& users) with a wide variety of sports goods so we created a 2500 square meter store to make sure we accommodate more than 30 sports under one roof. We believe that our high quality, low price strategy is also very competitive at a time where the market needs more affordable goods.” said the Store Manager Mr. Xavier Chesnais

Finally, we are happy to extend our services to the west and we are looking forward to more openings in the near future.
