MBC3 announced today the launch of a new campaign aimed at discovering new faces to join the channel's growing family as TV presenters. Viewers of the channel will be invited to apply through regular spots that will be aired on the channel itself.

The decision to expand the team of presenters was the result of the channel's increasing growth and popularity among its young viewers, and will be important as MBC3 moves towards broadcasting more of its own productions. A larger family of presenters will also boost direct interaction with the audience through events and on-the-ground activities around the Arab world.

The campaign will begin next week with on-screen spots inviting Arab youths who believe they have what it takes to be a television presenter to log on to the channel's website or send an email to the campaign's address describing why they think they should be selected as the new presenter on MBC3. The only criteria are that applicants be younger than 25 years old and have a pleasant and outgoing personality.

"This is a very exciting time for all of us at MBC3, especially with our second anniversary coming up," said Tim Riordan, Channel Manager at MBC. "We wanted to celebrate with a fresh and funky campaign and we thought invitation would be perfect to involve our audience around the region."

"We are pursuing an ambitious plan to develop even more in-house productions for the channel," said Nadine Hassan, Production Manager at MBC3. "This campaign will really help us to find the kind of talent that will truly represent the channel and fit naturally as part of the MBC3 family."

Since its launch, MBC3 has broadcast several in-house productions which became immediate hits with the younger Arab audience. Most notable of these has been "Eish Safari" - the first reality TV show to feature younger participants and more recently, "Tell Me How" an Arabic edutainment and learning program which is currently running once a week.

Applications for the recruitment campaign can be made at www.mbc3.net or emailed to mbc3presenter@mbc.net.
