Organizations should focus on measurement of goals and targets; Dr. Robert

Kaplan to present at the second Balanced Scorecard Forum in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh - November 8th, 2010: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) was one of the few countries from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region that emerged relatively unscathed from the financial crisis. With the crisis showing signs of easing and companies in the region setting higher revenue targets, a more disciplined management structure is required to better navigate an uncertain business climate.

Companies that emerged leaner and fitter from the crisis are looking for the right strategy and methodology that can help grow their business multifold. Addressing this need, Dr. Robert Kaplan the renowned business strategy guru is set to present his Balanced Scorecard (BSC) strategy to organizations in KSA.

"It is essential that companies have a structured goal and plan for their business growth. By adopting the Balanced Scorecard strategy, companies can increase effectiveness, set goals, and achieve targets with accurate measurements," added Dr. Kaplan, founder of the Balanced Scorecard and presenter of the Master Class at the second Balanced Scorecard Forum, Saudi Arabia.

The Balanced Scorecard strategy helps companies understand their risk management criteria and work on their strategy maps. It helps companies adopt a more well-organized structure with a greater focus on developing people within the organization.

"Implementing the Balanced Scorecard concept is one thing but understanding the concept is more essential for companies. We have case studies, wherein, companies

that have successfully adopted the concept have seen shareholder value increase by 30 percent," emphasizes Kaplan.

The second Balanced Scorecard Forum will take place from 11 - 15 December 2010 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event will witness participation from over 120 delegates. The Forum, this year, will have more thought-provoking sessions on risk management, customer management and workshops on how to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

There will be more emphasis on case studies from leading organizations from across the region and success reports on companies that have achieved business excellence through the Balanced Scorecard. An open forum will have a panel of expert speakers discuss questions and provide practical tips on implementing the Balanced Scorecard within organizations.
