AMMAN — The Minister of Investment, Tariq Abu-Ghazaleh, held a meeting recently, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Jordan, Maria Sargren, with the Jordanian-Swedish Business Network, which consists of representatives of a number of Swedish companies operating in Jordan.

During the meeting, Abu Ghazaleh pointed to the strength of Jordanian-Swedish relations, pointing to the importance to enhance investment cooperation strategically and qualitatively, in a way that contributes to achieving the common interests of the two friendly countries.

He stressed that Jordan is moving steadily towards developing a more competitive investment environment, supported by qualitative legislative and regulatory measures that facilitate doing business and enhance investor confidence

Abu Ghazaleh pointed to the advantages that the Kingdom enjoys, most notably stability, distinctive geographical location, free trade agreements, in addition to the availability of qualified human competencies.

The meeting witnessed the participation of representatives of the Embassy of Sweden, a number of officials of the Ministry of Investment, concerned ministries and institution, as well as representatives of the private sector and Swedish companies operating in the Kingdom.

The discussions handled a direct discussion was held on opportunities for expansion in the energy, industry, technology and services sectors, according to the Ministry of Investment statement.
