Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health in cooperation with the National Centre for Privatisation (NCP) awarded the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract for its Al Ansar General Hospital project, located in Al-Madinah Al Munawwara, to a consortium of Tamasuk Holding Company and Alghanim International.

The project was the first transaction to be launched under the ‘Establishing and operating hospitals PPP initiative’ within Vision 2030.

Zawya Projects had first reported in January 2023 that Al Ansar Hospital Project was likely to be awarded in the second quarter. A total of nine companies had qualified for the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage.

Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said in a report on Tuesday that the hospital would comprise of 244 beds and be implemented under Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.
