French Capgemini aims to hire 3,000 employees in Egypt within 3 years

Capgemini, a French information technology and consulting company, aims to hire 3,000 employees over the next three years to provide cross-border outsourcing services to its international clients in Egypt.

Hossam Seif El-Din, President of Capgemini Egypt, said that the global company was founded in 1967 and achieved a turnover during the past year with a value of €21bn and employs 360,000 employees worldwide.

Seif El-Din mentioned this during the press conference held by the company today to announce its future plans during the next stage.

He explained that Capgemini serves clients in several sectors, most notably banks, providing consumer goods, engineering and semiconductors. He pointed out that last year, his company grew by 16% compared to 2021.

He also revealed that the company launched a global center for cross-border outsourcing services (off-shoring) in Egypt in October 2022, and it is scheduled to serve its customers abroad, pointing out that the center currently includes about 200 employees with experiences of three to four years, at least.

Seif El-Din said that Capgemini chose Egypt for several reasons. They include the strategic location and time convergence with Europe, as well as the human cadres’ proficiency in more than one language, including Arabic and English, in addition to the low cost and quality of service, as well as the presence of 100,000 university graduates annually in science and technology, and computer engineering.

He added that the company’s headquarters in Egypt will provide technology services in computing, technology consulting, design, governance, quality testing and business process outsourcing, especially in the field of supply chains, engineering research and development services in the automotive industry, embedded software and electronic circuit design.

He revealed that Capgemini is about to move within weeks to a new administrative building in Egypt on an area of 10,000 square meters. It can accommodate up to 1,600 employees, and is also planning to conclude partnership agreements with Egyptian universities to attract graduates to work in the company after they receive training.
