The Ministry of Agriculture announced the release of 135,000 tons of corn and soy fodders worth about $91 million during the past week, according to a statement on January 29th.

In coordination with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), nearly 56,000 tons of corn and 79,000 tons of soybeans were released at a value of $20 million and $66 million, respectively.

Additionally, around $5 million worth of feed additives were also released from ports.

This brings total releases during the period from October 16th, 2022 to January 25st to 2.291 million tons at a value of $1.154 billion.

Releasing fodders from ports comes as per the directives of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
