A total of 850 job opportunities are available at a fair that aims to increase Bahrainisation in the private medical sector.

Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan launched the two-day jobs fair at the ministry’s headquarters in Zayed Town yesterday.

The fair features 53 establishments operating in the private medical sector with 850 jobs being offered in various disciplines – 350 by the participating institutions and 500 from the ministry’s job bank.

The fair also provides training opportunities for citizens seeking work in this field.

The ministry will follow up procedures for the recruitment of candidates who are selected by the participating establishments to fill their job vacancies.

Mr Humaidan said this is the third such fair that the ministry has organised and that the two previous fairs were successful in recruiting many people regardless of being technical, specialist or supporting jobs.

The minister toured the fair where he met exhibitors and jobseekers and listened to their opinions and observations on the employment movement in the private medical sector and other vital sectors.

He said the private medical sector in Bahrain is growing rapidly with the increasing number of medical institutions, which provides many opportunities for employment.
