Alstom and HEC launch the second cohort of the M3 program Executive Education Provider hosts selected participants under agreement signed between HEC Paris and Alstom group

Alstom and HEC Paris have inaugurated the 2nd cohort of the MEA mid-management (M3) Program, customized for the development of leaders from Alstom’s Middle East and Africa region, following on from the highly successful 1st cohort.

The M3 Program is co-designed by Alstom and HEC Paris to give the selected participants access to the renowned faculty and learning methods of HEC Paris and reinforce the exceptional management skills of Alstom’s key talent in the region. A total of 27 candidates from France, South Africa, Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Kazakhstan and Qatar were chosen for the program, which will take place between Istanbul, and Paris over the next eight months.

The first module is being held in Istanbul, and runs from October 22-26, under the expert tutelage of Professor Thierry Coudurier, who is Academic Director for the program, and Professor Olivier Tabatoni. Geopolitical specialist Slimane Zeghidour will host sessions with the participants. The second module of the M3 Program will be held in Paris on April 28, with Professor Patrick Delamaire and Professor Ulf Schaffer.

In addition to further strengthening the management skills of Alstom talent in the region and their capabilities to manage change, the M3 Program is designed to motivate Alstom managers to stay and evolve within the organization and attract local managers to join and support Alstom’s continuous growth across the Middle East and Africa region.

“The first cohort of the M3 Program proved to be a great success. It is now an honour for us to welcome participants from Alstom for the second cohort and demonstrate once again that HEC Paris can offer a custom program that meets the needs and requirements of Alstom,” said Dr Nils Plambeck, Associate professor of Strategic Management at HEC Paris.

“Companies such as Alstom increasingly recognize the importance of such programs to their growth strategies. The world-class academic and pedagogical input of our renowned faculty acts as an enabler to motivate participants to remain and evolve within the organization, proving that such programs are beneficial to both individuals and corporations.”

For the second year, we are very happy to collaborate with HEC to train Alstom people. We are committed to providing and ensuring optimal growth and training opportunities for every employee, from entry-level hires to senior executives” says Walfa Chouki, HR Vice President for the MEA region. “Alstom’s determination is second to none, as we proactively partner with educational institutes and provide apprenticeships while continuing to promote rail management professions throughout different regions,” she added.
