The F&B Awards celebrate the best talent and concepts in the competitive Middle East F&B industry, with 18 nominations including Best Newcomer, Leading Homegrown Restaurant Brand and the highly coveted F&B Heavyweight. The judging panel for the awards comprised of leading food and beverage industry experts who combine years of experience across various aspects of the industry.

Commenting on the sponsorship Mr. Chalak said, “Deploying the right safety measures is a valuable asset for every small and medium food establishment. Smaller businesses face diverse and very complex challenges in adopting food safety management systems. Some of these challenges are due to the lack of reliable resources and technical expertise, as well as culture and language discrepancies among food handlers.”

The Boecker® Q-Platinum AwardTM (QPATM) programme is a leading international food safety certification for SMEs that follows global standards. The QPATM programme complies with all local regulations and is assured by the renowned Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) in the UK, an accrediting body for food safety and a world authority in environmental health for more than 150 years,” he added.

The QPATM programme covers year-round, regular audits to ensure and maintain the proper implementation of food safety. Moreover, the programme controls for hygiene and includes training for food handlers at all levels, regular management review meetings, mystery shopper audits, continuous supervision and intensive follow-up on improvements.

Today, with more than 500 awarded establishments all over the GCC and the Middle East, the QPATM from Boecker® is the most widespread certification system designed for SMEs that do not fall into the HACCP and ISO 22000 scope of work. The QPATM enables smaller businesses to cater with confidence and safeguards their growth and prosperity, while allowing scalability.
