Gas Arabian Services Company has signed a 139.5 million Saudi riyal ($37.15 million) contract with JGC Arabia for Saudi Aramco’s Zuluf onshore oilfield project.

The two-year contract includes pre-assembly and erection of steel structure, equipment installation, piping, painting and support services, the company said in a Tadawul statement.

In May 2022, Japanese engineering group JGC Holdings said that its Saudi subsidiary, JGC Arabia, has been awarded a contract by Aramco to carry out engineering and construction work for its key processing facilities within the Zuluf oilfield, approximately 240 kilometres north of Dhahran.

Aramco is promoting the Zuluf Arab Heavy Development Programme to meet growing global energy demand and is planning to increase production based on an additional 600mbcd of Arab Heavy crude.
