Saudi’s National Environmental Recycling Co. (Tadweeer) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state-owned Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) to improve strategic cooperation on waste recycling.

The two companies will focus on cooperation in waste conversion and recycling and study ways of sustainable development in line with the Saudi Green Initiative, Tadweeer said in a bourse filing.

The duration of the MOU is one year and can be extended, the statement added.

Earlier this month, Tadweeer signed a 42.7-million-Saudi-riyal ($11.36 million) contract with Tebrak Trading and Contracting Company and Mounes Mohamed Alshayeb for Civil Construction to construct factories for recycling of electronic, electrical and metal waste.
