High-Efficiency District Cooling Solution from Trane
Dubai, UAE - During his visit today, Craig Kissel, president of Trane Commercial Systems, announced that Trane will supply 20 energy-efficient, low emission EarthWiseTM CenTraVacTM chillers (48,850 tons of air conditioning) to Discovery Gardens, a major new residential development project in the portfolio of visionary Dubai property developer, Nakheel.
The supply and installation contract awarded by Palm District Cooling (PDC) to Shinryo Corp of Japan, for a total of 100,000 ton district cooling system will serve more than 100 apartment buildings in the development. The Trane EarthWise CenTraVac chillers selected by PDC and Shinryo will cover the first phase of the project.

Trane's EarthWise CenTraVac chillers, the most energy efficient chillers available today, use Refrigerant -123, the most balanced and environmentally responsible refrigerant with very low global warming potential and extremely low ozone depletion impact. In fact, if all centrifugal chillers sold in one year operated at the same efficiency as Trane's CenTraVac chiller, the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions would be the equivalent of planting nearly 1.4 million trees.
