Dubai, May 13, 2008: The world-wide well known Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) has opened its first Chapter at University of Dubai (UD) in the last week of April 2008. SAM is the oldest professional management society in the world and was founded in 1912. UD is the first university in the UAE and Middle East to have SAM chapter.
25 members comprising of senior students and alumni of College of Business at the UD subscribed to the SAM - Dubai Chapter last week. SAM -Dubai chapter at UD aims to provide an opportunity for the students and alumni to increase management skills and expertise through participation in programs and services designed to improve the professional quality of their knowledge, performance, and ability. The chapter had the first meeting on Thursday 1st of May 2008 at UD to discuss the activities to be organized in 2008.
