Abu Dhabi: Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital is proud to announce the opening of its new Emergency Department as part of its commitment to providing advanced healthcare services and technologies for the communities in which it operates.
Having fulfilled all the DOH requirements of operating a licensed Emergency Department in the Emirate, the hospital now provides round-the-clock critical care services and receives children and adults with acute life-threatening conditions.
The Emergency Department uses state-of-the-art equipment and advanced patient monitoring systems to respond to any kind of medical emergency including the internationally recognised five-level triage system which is specific for emergency medicine. The hospital’s highly skilled and trained medical team of consultants, specialists and nurses are trained in adult and paediatric resuscitation, trauma and airway management following evidence based care pathways and practice guidelines. They also involve patients and their respective families in the formation and decision making of the treatment plans based on the available options to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient.
The Emergency Department deals with surgical and medical emergencies including all subspecialities. The unit houses single rooms with comfortable beds to ensure the comfort and total privacy of every patient. Self-closing and interlocking doors and negative pressure isolation rooms are also located at the entry of the department to ensure easy access of patients requiring isolation. Round-the-clock ambulance services are also available.
