interFRONTIERS launch NEC Powermate VL360 dual core desktop computer in the Middle East

Middle East, 03 September 2006: interFRONTIERS, NEC Computers' Business Development partner in Mediterranean, Middle East and (English speaking) Africa, has announced that it is launching NEC's POWERMATE VL360: a powerful, evolutionary desktop computer from NEC to the region through its authorised distributors.

The NEC POWERMATE VL360 has the latest generation AM2 socket that provides native support for the dual channel DDR2 memory (4 DIMM slots). Like its predecessor, it supports AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processors, proving to be very fast when multi-tasking. It has a PCI Express 16x port that accepts the latest graphic cards on the market.

Benefiting from NVIDIA's experience in graphic controllers, NEC opted to use the NVIDIA nForce 4 chipset that includes GeForce 6150 video technology. This (combined with its memory) gives users a high quality display and upscale graphic rendering addressing up to 256 Mb and its integrated digital DVI output. So, the NEC POWERMATE VL360 can simultaneously manage two of the latest generation flat screens. Furthermore, its DirectX 9 compatibility gives it remarkable performances in handling 3D and optimum compatibility with Microsoft Windows Vista.

The NEC POWERMATE VL360 has a complete chassis security system (Kensington slot, anti-theft ring, anti-intrusion button, optional electro-magnetic system locking) and material security of the data (optional biometric solution). It can also be equipped with data security software solutions: Managed Antivirus, StormShield behavioral analysis, and Safeboot data encryption and access control.

The NEC POWERMATE VL360 is a discrete, quiet PC thanks to the integrated Cool'n'Quiet technology of the AMD processor. This considerably reduces the heat produced by the computer.
