Muscat: The Supreme Committee has decided to apply institutional quarantine for all arrivals to the Sultanate from Iran and Iraq including citizens with effect from 12 noon on Tuesday, August 17, until further notice.

"Based on the decision made by the Supreme Committee issued on August 16, 2021, the institutional quatrain will be applied to all arrivals from the Republic of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes Omani citizens arriving from the two mentioned countries and arrivals from any other country if they have passed through any of the aforementioned two countries during the previous 14 days preceding their request to enter the Sultanate," a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said.

The decision will be effective from 12pm on August 17, 2021.
