Supporting different social events organised by government and private-sector organisations is part of Aluminium Bahrain's policy in supporting the local community," said Alba general manager, sourcing and commercial, Nezam Mohammed Noor. "The company is eager to take part in the success of such events put together by different sectors as they allow local and international experts to meet and share their knowledge and expertise as in, for example, the second Gulf Conference for School Health (GCSH) organised by the Ministry of Health in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and scheduled for next year."

The GM made his comments after presenting a cheque to Dr. Mariam Al Mulla Hermes, GCSH chairperson of the organising committee, in the presence of Dr. Rana Al Ammadi, Alba chief medical officer, and Dr. Elham Al Eid. The event will be held in Bahrain under the title "School Health...Shared Responsibility" from March 24 to 26.

"Alba is one of the leading companies supporting different activities and events in the Kingdom," said the chairperson. "They are definitely a partner in promoting health by organising many awareness activities and campaigns in every field, including students, who represent a large segment of society.

Participants in GCSH, from different GCC and Arab countries, will tackle the most important and urgent issues concerning school students to help with their experience in enhancing and promoting awareness of school-health issues. The event is also supported by the World Health Organisation (WHO)."
