Manama:- The Capital Governorate has recently announced the Labour Fund (Tamkeen)’s its strategic partnership for Manama Entrepreneurship Week “MEW” for the fifth consecutive year. The event is being held under the patronage of Capital governor HE Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa from October 20 to 24.

The Capital governor HE Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa noted that MEW has become a platform to strengthen Bahrain's distinguished position in the world of entrepreneurship and innovation, provide its pioneering experience as a model for countries seeking to optimize their investment in human capital, achieve economic diversification, and encourage entrepreneurs to drive growth in different economic and productive sectors.

HE Shaikh Hisham stressed the importance of fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among Bahraini youth, encouraging them to establish their own businesses, updating them with opportunities and challenges, and providing promising opportunities to promote growth of the national economy, and allowing them to increase the volume of their productivity and take their services to regional and global markets.

Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Chief Executive of “Tamkeen” Labour Fund, stressed the importance of this partnership with MEW, which comes in line with Tamkeen’s keenness to support initiatives that offer real opportunities to show Bahraini youths successful entrepreneurial projects and experiences worldwide. Therefore, Tamkeen has partnered with various stakeholders to develop Bahraini individuals, improve Bahraini youth skills to become the first choice of employment, and inspire entrepreneurs to launch their projects.
