Muscat : The Philippines has decided to extend the restriction period of entry into the country for travellers from Oman and other countries till 15th June, 2021.

Embassy of Philippines in Oman said: "Further to earlier public advisories on the restriction of entry to the Philippines of travellers arriving from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates (UAE) until 31 May 2021, the public is hereby advised that the restriction of their entry to the Philippines has been extended until June 15, 2021."

"Filipino and non-Filipino travellers who have only transited through Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or UAE within 14 days prior to arrival in the Philippines, will not be subjected to the mandatory 14-day facility-based quarantine, but follow the usual arrival protocols. These are travelers who only stayed in the airports of these countries during connecting flights and do not have entry stamps in any of these countries in their passports."

Philippines embassy also said, "Passengers who are allowed entry into the Philippines and who obtain positive RT-PCR results will be taken to the appropriate medical centers for observation and treatment. Their close contacts must in turn undergo mandatory 14-day facility-based quarantine."

"Everyone is requested to defer non-essential travel to the Philippines," the statement added.
