ArabFinance: The total value of taxes, customs duties, and other charges collected at Dekheila and Damietta ports hit EGP 2.7 billion in March, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on April 14th.

Both ports collected EGP 451.94 million in taxes and customs duties for imported goods by the end of March.

The value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on the imported goods at the two ports recorded EGP 2.5 billion last month.

The imported goods included wheat, sugar, legumes, maize, components of air conditioners, fridges, fans, fabrics, wood, yarn, and motorcycle and car spare parts.
