Muscat: Municipal authorities in the capital have recorded 18 health violations, destroying 913 kg of vegetables, 209 kg of fish and confiscating 1,015 kg of fruit, in the first two weeks of February.
Muscat Municipality has released a statement about its campaign against illegal street vendors in Muscat, in which a number of expats workers in Muttrah Al Kubra were found to be illegally selling more than two tonnes of foodstuff.
"Inspection campaigns carried out by the Urban Inspection Department of Muscat Municipality in Muttrah Al Kubra during the first two weeks of February resulted in the recording of 18 health violations against expats workers, destroying 913 kg of vegetables, 209 kg of fish, and confiscating 1,015 kg of fruit," Muscat Municipality stated online.
