A private school in Bahrain is using 3D printers to make visors for medical workers on the frontline of efforts to fight the coronavirus (Covid-19).

St Christopher’s School head of senior school Nick Wilson, assistant head Bryon Pearce and head of design and technology (DT) Kim Chadwick have been using four 3D printers to create the face visors to help protect Bahraini medical workers.

DT teachers John Doherty, Aneil Peswani, Martin Plunkett, assistant head David Williams and technician Jibi Varghese have also been working in shifts to make the visors.

The first batch was supplied to the BDF Hospital and Awali Cardiac Centre yesterday (Mar 30), according to a statement from the school.

The school will continue to make and supply the visors.
