Chocolate-inspired mini projector ensures complete mobility and high-quality performance - in one small package

Dubai, UAE, September 9, 2007: Good things do indeed come in small packages. Global and regional digital leader LG Electronics underlines this age-old idiom by launching its cool yet versatile palm-sized projector that can deliver powerful presentations and still fit snugly into a small area.

Inspired by last year's bestselling LG Chocolate mobile phone, the feature-rich LG Mini Projector (HS 101) is a 750-gram LED DLP projector that runs at a spectacular 2000:1 contrast ratio, with SVGA 800 x 600 pixels at a standard 4:3 ratio. The LED is rated at 20,000 hours, which means an end to extravagant bulb purchases.

The soft-touch keys are similar to the Chocolate phone's design-friendly keypad. The projector is versatile with different input interfaces such as HDMI, Composite or D-Sub 15-pin. Offering the world's best brightness in LED projection, the diminutive projector is a must-buy for those conscious about design and performance.

"Whether it is delivering powerful presentations or displaying commercial ads, games or movies, the LG LED projector is a strong statement that can take displays to the next level," explained Mr. K. W. Kim, President of LG Electronics - Middle East and Africa. "This makes it the perfect business companion that guarantees top-notch performance every time."

LG has chosen GITEX Shopper to demonstrate the capabilities of the HS 101 to the region's consumers. The show which runs from September 6-13, at Dubai's Airport Expo, will be a platform for LG to launch its cutting-edge innovations as well as give customers a preview of its upcoming technological developments.

For inspiration in creating this world-class projector, LG engineers didn't have to look too far. Last year, the digital leader developed the world's first wall-mounted projector that took several design and performance awards across the globe. Engineers drew on LG's expertise in high-quality video processing and projector design to create the new benchmark in display performance.

As impressively as it performs, the sleek high-gloss, black finish of the LED projector complements any décor whether the lights are on or off. Combining style and substance, the projector is a stunning fusion of precision-tuned video performance and exceptional visual design.

The LG LED projector is versatile, and accommodates any home entertainment environment with easy connectivity to nearly any consumer electronic device including HD media players, broadcast receivers, DVD players, computers and video game consoles.

The new products will be available through LG's channel partners at GITEX Shopper 2007, which takes place at the Airport Expo Dubai from September 6 to 13. In celebration of its new launches, LG is also offering buyers of its products the opportunity to win fabulous prizes including Mercedes cars, 32-inch plasma TVs and MP3 players.

LG unveiled a mega-promotion aiming at the customers of UAE, Oman and Qatar, titled "The Life's Good Experience". The promotion offers huge prizes to potential LG customers for buying LG display or media products during GITEX and Ramadan.
