The focus supports Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030 and looks to capitalize on the 7% annual growth forecasted for MICE in the capital*

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hotel group has unveiled its diverse meetings, incentives conferences and events (MICE) offer across its new hotel portfolio in Abu Dhabi.  The newly opened Jumeirah At Saadiyat Island Resort and Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa provide beautiful beach and serene desert options that perfectly complement the dynamic downtown location of the renowned Jumeirah at Etihad Towers.

With desert adventure team building at Jumeirah Al Wathba, luxury ocean views at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island and state-of-the-art facilities at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in the heart of the capital, the unique offer is expected to attract the MICE industry both locally and internationally.

Jose Silva, CEO of Jumeirah Group, said: “Abu Dhabi is now seen as a leading MICE destination in the region and with its burgeoning reputation as a cultural hub and success in hosting many major global sporting events, we expect to see this growth continue. At Jumeirah Group, we recognize the importance of this segment and have developed a MICE offer across our newly established portfolio to meet the needs of local and international businesses and organizations.”

Whether corporates or individuals are participating in an exhibition or planning a conference, seminar, team building activity or party, Jumeirah Group’s hotels in Abu Dhabi offer the best of three distinctive environments, each providing a unique and tailored backdrop to meet all MICE requirements.

Summer MICE offers in the heart of Abu Dhabi city at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, where one of Abu Dhabi’s largest conference centers resides, include special room rates from AED400 (USD 109), inclusive of breakfast, for bookings between 10 and 200 rooms. The iconic hotel features a ballroom which can host up to 1,400 guests in a conference setting or 1,000 guests for seated banquet dinner, 13 meeting rooms, and a Bridal and Chairman Suite. Jumeirah at Etihad Towers is also offering an exclusive meeting package for AED180 (USD 49) which includes two coffee breaks, lunch with soft drinks, and access to state-of-the-art equipment (LCD projector and screen).

Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort, the Jumeirah Group’s first luxury “eco-conscious” resort just 20 minutes away from Abu Dhabi airport has the capacity to host weddings, banquets, exhibitions, product launches and parties. The banquet facilities have a separate private entrance and pre-function area while the landscaped gardens provide the perfect location for weddings and anniversaries. Summer MICE offers at the island resort include a meeting package with rates starting from AED200 (USD 55) with two coffee breaks and lunch.

Opened in January, the intimate Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa, set in the heart of the Abu Dhabi dunes, is an extremely versatile event venue. Ideal for everything from anniversaries to specially tailored team building activities including orienteering and desert safaris, this unique destination is just 45 minutes from Abu Dhabi airport and 90 minutes away from Dubai. For intimate events and weddings, the ballroom seats 100 people. For those looking for an authentic Arabian hospitality adventure, Al Mabeet is a Bedouin style dining experience with live entertainment, set apart from the main hotel. For larger events, the foregrounds of the resort, with their picturesque dunes are ideal.

“Working hand-in-hand with the Jumeirah Group’s outstanding facilities, these new offers will no doubt increase interest in Abu Dhabi as a go-to MICE destination, which will in turn reinforce the emirate’s reputation as a major player on the global business events stage,” said Mubarak Al Shamisi, Abu Dhabi Convention & Exhibition Bureau Director at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi). “The Jumeirah Group’s cutting-edge infrastructure and initiatives will help the UAE capital to host the most important international conferences, business events and exhibitions in the world today, helping us to connect with crucial global sectors such as healthcare, oil and gas, aviation and aerospace, education and more.”
