Over 50% of B2B marketers in UAE are expected to use infographics in marketing and communication campaigns, making it a $25 million industry

Dubai, UAE, 11th March 2014

Green Olive Digital, a newly launched content marketing and infographic design agency, has made a foray into the UAE market as one of the first agencies in Dubai to specialize in infographics solutions, serving the entire Middle East.

Targeting private and public companies as well as media outlets, the new agency will cater to the needs of the marketing communications industry in the region.

Anmber Siddiqui, Managing Director, Green Olive Digital, said: "We are pleased to set up this agency in Dubai. Green Olive Digital offers companies, media and government departments with the right infographic solutions to convey their messages and maximize the value of their communications. This industry, still in its infancy phase in the UAE, is projected to reach US$ 25 million by 2020."

Green Olive Digital comes at a time when this tactical vehicle takes just 3% slice of the content marketing budgets of multinational companies and government departments in the UAE. It is projected that it will capture over 25% of content marketing by 2020.

The new company has partnered up with New York-based Infographic World with the goal of bringing world-class infographic design to the Middle East and North Africa.

Siddiqui added: "Infographics are easy-to-understand graphic visualizations of data and information. More than 50% of B2B marketers in the UAE are expected to use infographics over the next few years as it is regarded the fastest growing marketing tactic in the market."

"We take pride that we have partnered with a leading company in data visualization and infographics: Infographic World from New York," said Siddiqui. "Infographic World has been producing high quality, state-of-the-art infographics for international powerhouse brands like Google, Proctor & Gamble (P&G), ESPN, General Electric (GE), Coca-Cola, Adidas and other blue-chip clients since 2009."

She added: "Through this partnership, clients can benefit from our combined expertise, in a cost-effective and efficient manner, without compromising on quality."

"Infographics are the most attractive, effective and measurable way to create branded content that drives favorable conversations," explained Siddiqui. "If the content is customer-centric and well-researched and beautifully designed, organizations will engage with it and crave more."

"Aligning our offerings with Green Olive Digital allows us to have experienced, dedicated representation with clients in the Middle East in order to provide them with the most effective data visualization services in the world," said Justin Beegel, CEO, Infographic World. "Infographics have boomed in the United States since 2009, and they are not just a trend.  They are here to stay and evolving very quickly.  Since they are highly visual and graphic, they overcome language barriers, and I expect that they will be embraced by companies and end-users in the MENA region."

Established social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Slideshare have seen engagement increase by 65% and new visual channels such Tumblr, pinterest, Instagram, Vine and Snapchat have skyrocketed over the last 18 months following the use of infographics.

"Since 2009, we've created over 10,000 unique infographics and currently produce over 100 infographics a month," said Beegel.  "Our infographics have appeared in many high profile websites, newspapers and blogs, including the Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, ESPN, Yahoo, Mashable, Public Broadcasting System (PBS), PC Magazine, Hollywood movies and the Late Show With David Letterman.

"Our brains process visual information 60,000 times faster than text. So infographics get greater attention and retention compared to text," explained Siddiqui.
