Mapsolute Middle East launches "Map24 Mobile" version 2.0 for mobile usage
Dubai, UAE: Mapsolute Middle East FZ-LLC; the leading GCC provider of interactive maps; releases "Map24 Mobile" version 2.0 route planner software for mobiles and Pocket PCs. Now, the user can access the GCC map by downloading Map24 on his mobile phone for free, and benefit from the usual functionality, convenience and ease-of use of the online Map24com. User can also access other regions such as Europe, North America, Brazil, South Africa, and Australia with Multiple language support. User can find addresses, hotels or restaurants, places to visit and millions of other points of interest on his mobile phone.
"Map24 Mobile" runs on Pocket PCs, Nokia S60s (SDK2 and SDK3) and many multimedia Smart Phones. The only requirement for access to Map24 data is a mobile internet connection.
The new "Map24 Mobile" 2.0 is a highly advanced interactive mobile mapping solution; it offers the users similar functionalities to the ones found on the online public portal Map24. In addition to viewing the maps in 2D or 3D views; the integrated mapping material gives a detailed display of road maps including U-turns and, one-way streets restrictions. Furthermore, with the zoom and pan options, the user can view details of the map down to the street level, and also check the Points of Interest (POI) displayed, such as hotels, banks, car parks, restaurants... These are automatically shown on the map without the user needing to enter any address.
The Arabic-enabled version is presently under development and will soon be released, to respond to the increasing market need for flexible and adaptive solutions.
Any user can register for FREE to use Map24 on the www.map24.com portal, and download his version of the "Map24 Mobile" to his mobile phone. He will then be able to equally download his MyMap24 address book, that can contain up to 10 of his preferred addresses that he can store up for future use on his mobile. Important addresses are therefore always accessible to calculate routes when entered as start or destination addresses.
Another key advantage of the mobile service is that the calculation of the route is performed directly on the Map24 server, therefore ensuring regular updates of the mapping data.
