iScala tool to help companies better integrate their ground staff with central systems, reduce cumbersome paperwork and improve bottomlines
Dubai, December 28, 2004: Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of integrated enterprise software solutions for the midmarket, today announced that its Dubai-based regional headquarters, Epicor Scala in the Middle East has launched iScala Mobile Service Management tool, a path breaking SCM package, in the Middle East & Africa.
According to a senior company official, the tool based on Microsoft's .Net technology is aimed at taking SCM in the region to the next stage of evolution by helping companies better integrate their ground staff with central systems. It would also help them in dramatically reducing cumbersome paperwork and improving their bottomlines.

iScala 2.2 Mobile Service Management allows a company to equip its service engineers with the critical information they need to be more productive and deliver the best customer service possible while on the road.
Using Epicor iScala's Mobile Service Management solution, service engineers can receive service requests and report back status information using virtually any computer running a version of Windows (9x, ME, 2000, NT, CE, and Pocket PC) or an Internet browser.
The key highlights of this tool include, fast notification of new service requests, reduced administrative overheads, reduced invoice cycle and improved cash flow. Thus, the tool enables a company to increase accuracy, improve customer service and lower field service costs at the same time, resulting in a large cost saving to the company. This saving is both in the form of reduction in fixed expenses (such as cost of paperwork) as well as time costs. The time saved in paperwork also enables the sales and maintenance staff to book additional customer calls, enhancing efficiency and product sales.
