Dubai, April 26 2012:  Abel Damergi has been appointed Area General Manager of L'Amphitrite Hotels & Resorts Morocco, a division of the Dubai-based Constellation Hospitality Group. A significant focus of his appointment is to guide this fast-emerging region for the Constellation Group.
 
With more than two decades of experience covering virtually all aspects of the hospitality sector, Mr Damergi has held management positions on four continents, including the Caribbean and Indian Ocean destinations.  Such cultural diversity brings an added dimension to his operational successes.

Taking up this role following a tenure as Group General Manager at Boscolo Hotels, Mr Damergi's previous experience includes General Manager positions with Grand Millennium in Abu Dhabi and the Marriott Rome. In addition, he was the opening General Manager for Shangri-La Resort Maldives, as well as several Le Meridien properties including Cable Beach - Nassau, Coronado - San Diego California, and Country General Manger for the Seychelles Islands.
 
Having earned a degree in Hotel Catering and Institutional Management from Leeds Polytechnic, he also has a Baccalaureate in Philosophy from Lycee Carnot.
 
Constellation-operated hotels and resorts in Morocco include L'Amphitrite Palace - Skhirat Plage, Avanti L'Amphitrite Mohammedia, and the state of the art Corum Convention & Exhibition Centre Mohammed VI - close by Rabat. In the development pipeline is the Marina Smir Resort Hotel in Tetouan under the L'Amphitrite Resort portfolio.
