Muscat: The Oman Committee for Electronic Games and Sports( OCEGS) will start its first championship in December 2021.

"The first championship of the Oman Committee for Electronic Games and Sports will be launched in December, 2021, the 'Committee Championship', which will include competitions in several e-games and sports," said Oman News Agency (ONA).

Majid bin Abdullah Al Salti, chairman of the committee, said: "The committee is working on regulating electronic games and sports affairs in Oman. We are now drafting the committee's regulations in line with local and international laws in preparation for its final approval."

His Excellency Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, had issued a decision announcing the Oman Committee for Electronic Games and Sports and forming its board of directors on June 8, 2021
