JEDDAH — Saudi female DJ and producer Cosmicat will make her United States debut at Ultra Miami on March 25, 2023.

MDL BEAST Records announced that global artist Cosmicat has signed a worldwide representation deal with MDL BEAST Records.

Cosmicat’s unique sound effortlessly blends elements of Pop, R&B, and Hip-Hop. Her unique blend of genres has captivated audiences from Saudi’s underground dance parties to performances at Soundstorm, Exit Festival, Tomorrowland, and Boiler Room among other major global festivals and platforms.

“We are thrilled to have an artist as dynamic and vibrant as Cosmicat on MDL BEAST Records. Her audience continues to grow worldwide, with her recent EP “Ascension” being well received by influential international DJs, at radio and on Global DSPs, and with US, UK and European festival shows planned for this year.

“She is blowing up worldwide and MDL BEAST is behind her 100%,” said Talal Albahiti, COO of MDL BEAST Records.

The artist made her first major appearance at MDL BEAST’s inaugural festival Soundstorm in Saudi Arabia in 2019, performing to hundreds of thousands. She has been a staple headliner at parties across the MENA region, and globally ever since.

“I am so grateful to MDL BEAST Records for this opportunity to partner and grow together. As a Saudi label with global ambitions, my music and their vision are very much aligned,” Cosmicat said. “I can’t wait to show Miami — and the world — what we are able to do.”

Cosmicat grew up in Jeddah at a time when parties and public performances were considered taboo and a career as a musician was almost impossible to pursue.

In the absence of venues and opportunities, Cosmicat started DJing in her bedroom, using online tutorials and her innate understanding of music to write, vocalize and produce her first tracks.

In 2018, she began performing for Saudi Arabia’s underground music community at private parties. In the few years since, she has gone on to share stages with some of the industry’s biggest names, including R3HAB, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Solomun, Peggy Gou, and Jamie Jones.

Cosmicat began to cement herself as a genre-spanning music producer in 2020 when she collaborated with French Electronic Producer Yann Dulché to release her first official single “Dilemma”.

Her subsequent release “Toxic Romance” made an immediate impact, followed by two other singles “Mashawear” and “Yalla”. On Feb. 2, 2023, Cosmicat released her EP “Ascension”.
