The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Sibi George stated that about 98,000 Indians who left Kuwait during the pandemic some of them have returned back to their works. Pandemic forced more than 700,000 Indian workers from Gulf countries to return to their homes in India according to the data provided by the Foreign Ministry of Indian Government.

The workers who left during the pandemic some have returned back as flights between India and Kuwait operate regularly. Indian embassy in Kuwait has been operating 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week to help emergency cases, reports Al Rai.

As per the statistics provided by from UAE 330,058 followed by Saudi Arabia 137,900, Kuwait 97,802 and Oman 72,259 had returned to India.
