As part of its efforts to stimulate the economy and attract foreign investment, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) will launch 28 investment opportunities in the industrial sector soon.
On May 31, 2021, MoCIIP began implementing the 100 Industrial Opportunities initiative, and initially launched 72 industrial opportunities.
According to a MoCIIP official, the launch of these investment opportunities is in line with the sultanate’s industrial strategy and the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 to diversify the economy.
“It is also the fruition of cooperation between the ministry and several partners, including Madayn, Petroleum Development Oman and Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“This investment initiative in the industrial sector aims to stimulate the market and create projects that contribute to creating job opportunities and employing Omani cadres,” he said.
The ministry official also informed that the contribution of industries was more than RO3bn in 2019, or ten per cent of the GDP.
