Yanqul --- The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and WaterResources has completed the construction works for the protection wall projectin the Al Buwayridah area of the Wilayat of Yanqul in A’Dhahirah Governorate.

Meanwhile, work continues on theprotection wall project in Al Bilad—Al Madam area, where progress has reached30 percent. These efforts are part of broader initiatives to mitigate floodrisks and safeguard agricultural lands.

 

Theimplementation of these two projects falls within a community partnershipframework, in which local residents contributed 80 percent of the total cost,while the ministry covered the remaining 20 percent. The aim is to secureagricultural holdings against soil erosion and the impacts of wadi flow.

Withregard to technical specifications, the protection wall in Al Buwayridah spans150 meters in length and stands three meters high. Its construction has beencompleted in accordance with approved engineering standards.

Theprotection wall in the Al Bilad—Al Madam area, meanwhile, measures 1,700 metersin length and three meters in height, with work ongoing according to thedesignated timeline.
