Abu Dhabi, Oct 26th, 2012 (WAM) -- Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan offered Eid-al-Adha prayer on Friday morning at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

H.H. Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler s Representative, H.H. Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Lt.General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Presidential Aviation Authority, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Diab Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan,President's Advisor, HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and Minister of Public Works, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and a number of Sheikhs, senior civilian and military officials, Arab and foreign diplomats and a large crowd of citizens and residents joined Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed in the Eid Prayer.

Advisor for Relegious and Judicial Affairs at the Presidential Affairs Ministry Sheikh Ali Al Hashimi led the prayers and delivered the special Eid sermon.

Offering greetings to the pilgrims who are in Makkah, Al Hashimi said that God appointed prophets to guide people into the path of virtue and righteousness. The Prophethood came to a close through the appointment of the last Messenger, Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him).

He invited the mankind into truth and peace to save the humanity from oppression and tyranny. The message of Prophet Mohammed came erasing all the scourge and showing the straight path without any kind of extremism or coercion, said Al Hashimi in his sermon.
