Muscat - There has been an increase in hotel revenues of three to five-star hotels by 91.7 percent until the end of November 2022, to reach RO161,262,000, according to the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The number of guests in three to five-star hotels in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 33.9 percent to RO1, 449, 511, compared to RO1, 082, 921 guests in the same period in 2021 AD, the occupancy rate recorded a growth of 18.2 percent.

During the same period, the number of Gulf inmates grew significantly, reaching 418.8 percent, from 27,985 at the end of November 2021 to 145,192 by the end of November 2022, followed by European guests, whose number grew by 327 percent, from 71,951 guests to 307,268 guests.

The number of Omani guests decreased by 14.9 percent, from 756, 661 at the end of November 2021 to 643, 859 guests.

The number of American guests was 52,625, an increase of 185.1 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

The number of guests from the African continent was 7,807, up 98.4 percent, and the number of Asian guests increased by 53 percent from 124,675 guests to 190,700 guests.
