Domestic experts have acquired the know-how to produce various kinds of ferroalloys and Iran will soon become the ferroalloy production hub in the Middle East.
According to Inn.ir, Ardeshir Saad-Mohammadi, managing director of Iranian Mineral Production and Supplying Company, added that Iran is now producing ferromolybdenum, ferrosilicon, ferrochromium and ferrotitanium.
"Once we acquire the technology for producing ferrovanadium, Iran will become the hub of producing ferroalloys in the Middle East," he said.
Ferroalloys refer to various alloys of iron with a high proportion of one or more other elements such as manganese or silicon. It is used in the production of steel and alloys as a raw material.
