In order to improve the entrepreneurial skills and reduce the risk of failed projects funded

Abu Dhabi, Monday, 12th October 2015: Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development launched Mentorship Program in collaboration with Mentor Global Consultants which provides a developed advisory system for the entrepreneurs. It will also connect the entrepreneurs with businessmen and executives who have good experience and competence to be mentors and advisors for them throughout the whole year, to improve their managerial and technical skills and to reduce the risk factors.

H. E. Ibrahim Ahmed Al Mansoori the Chief Operations Officer in Khalifa Fuad, said in his opening speech that, "the Mentorship Program is a new initiative launched by Khalifa Fund aiming at providing a suitable environment for entrepreneurs and enable them to gain experience and knowledge necessary for the development of their projects. The program will serve 11 Emiratis this year that is a cognitive and practical framework allowing them to benefit from the expertise and successful experiences in various fields".

"The program aims to transfer expertise and help entrepreneurs, financed by the Fund to achieve success and overcome the difficulties and obstacles facing them", explained Al Mansoori.

"Khalifa Fund has appointed a consulting firm specializing in this area, where it was able to use smart application development through a computer or mobile phone to connect between trainees and trainers and Khalifa Fund, which will assess the extent of the training sessions and take advantage of them", added Al Mansoori.

"The program will organize the relationship between the entrepreneurs and mentors, who will provide advice and guidance in a regular basis throughout the period of 9 months. That to include management systems and how to overcome the difficulties and the possibility of balance between supply and demand and marketing plans to enable them to build networks with the authorities and people in the same field", explained Al Mansoori.

Al Mansoori expected that 10 entrepreneurs will benefit from the program annually, as Khalifa Fund will strengthen its partnership with globally prestigious educational and training institutions as well as to the elite group of businessmen who will cooperate with the Fund as guides for entrepreneurs.

"Khalifa Fund put forward number of initiatives over the past years to strengthen the business environment, such as Hesabaty program and "Khalifa Fund Gateway" that provide interconnection services to the Fund's members. That will build relationship between them to enhance the opportunities for projects' success and development and give them a platform from which to market their products and benefit from trade opportunities", added Al Mansoori.

During the launching or Mentorship Program, a discussion were held about the importance of mentorship for the entrepreneur during the early stages of running his business. That should have a positive impact on project performance and will enable them to improve their business that serves the national economy.
