Lebanon, June 23, 2015

The 2015 C3 US-Arab Healthcare Summit, newyork.c3healthcare2015.com/home, is pleased to announce that Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Elizabeth Richard, and Dr. Samira Asma, Chief of the Global NCD Unit, Division of Global Health Protection, CDC, along with Ambassador Ahmed Farouk, Egypt Consul General in New York, will headline the C3 US-Arab Healthcare Summit: "Creating Critical Changes In the Course of Today's Healthcare Challenges."

Dr.Cesar Yaghi of Hotel-Dieu de France University Hospital  from Lebanon was one of the prominent speakers during the forum "Lebanon is a low prevalence country with 0.2 % HCV infected individuals. Controlling the disease may be possible through treating high risk populations including IV drug users to control its potential rapid spread, and in treating patients with HCV infections according to the severity of their disease. Screening of the 40-65 years old population is a required step. We nevertheless have a major epidemiologically uncontrolled factor related to the Syrian and Palestinian refugees. There are no epidemiological data in these two populations and the access to treatment is almost impossible. So they may constitute a handicap for disease eradication in Lebanon."

Over 60 global leaders will cover a range of topics from "Spinal Cord Injury and Exoskeletons," presented by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, to the keynote panel "Moving Towards a New Middle East Free From Virus C."  A disease that currently counts nearly 21 million carriers in the region, the keynote panel will feature experts from the Arab world, including: Dr. Mohamed Alzaabi of Zayed Military Hospital, Dr. Moutaz Farouk Derbala of Hamad Medical Corporation, Dr. Cesar Yaghi of Hotel-Dieu de France University Hospital and Dr. Fuad Hassan of Mubarak Hospital, to discuss effective solutions to containing a continuing spread.

For these reasons, Ransel N. Potter, Founder and Managing Partner of C3 Summit International, considers the C3 US-Arab Healthcare Summit to be a must attend event for anyone looking to do business in the Middle East. Additionally, the C3 International Business Pavilion presents attendees with more than 30 exhibitors looking for collaborative partnerships to further their international business development.
