Abu Dhabi, UAE: Aldar Properties (‘Aldar’) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Frontline Heroes Office to recognise and support UAE’s frontline professionals.
The agreement allows Aldar to directly support the Frontline Heroes Office’s mission to raise awareness of the key role played by frontline professionals during crises and emergencies in 2020 and beyond.
The Frontline Heroes Office supports a comprehensive range of frontline professionals, including medical and non-medical staff working in the health sector, such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, cleaning and services personnel, as well as protection and prevention workers, security and emergency workers, and sanitization workers.
As part of the three-year MoU, Aldar will promote the Frontline Heroes Office’s awareness initiatives across its diversified asset portfolio, including Yas Mall, World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi and Al Jimi Mall, as well as a number of hotels and schools across Abu Dhabi. Additionally, Aldar will offer qualifying frontline professionals a range of purchase and rent offers, including a six percent refund on purchase price once the final payment is settled, a four-year waiver of service charges, AED 4,000 worth of Yas Mall vouchers, as well as points on Aldar’s new Darna loyalty programme which allows for points to be used across its portfolio. Aldar is also offering up to 30% discounts across its hotels, golf resorts and food and beverage outlets.

About The Frontline Heroes Office:
The Frontline Heroes Office was established in July 2020 by decree of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is under the direction of the Chairman His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The Office is mandated to listen and respond to the challenges and priorities of the UAE’s frontline professionals, implement short-term and long-term solutions to directly address those needs, as well as ensure those who sacrifice and put themselves at risk to protect the people of the UAE are nationally recognized and celebrated. The Frontline Heroes Office will deliver on its mandate through partnerships and collaborations with government entities, the private sector and the wider community across the Emirates through a wide range of initiatives and special programs that directly support frontline heroes.
The Frontline Heroes Office has established a comprehensive national database of over 80,000 frontline professionals and volunteers actively protecting the UAE and its residents in the fight against COVID-19. The registry was created by the Frontline Heroes Office and collates data from people on the frontline provided directly by entities at the federal and emirate level involved in the pandemic response, including those entities under the umbrella of the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA), and licensed healthcare facilities in every emirate. It covers the full spectrum of UAE citizens and expatriates who have put themselves on the frontline in service to the country, including healthcare practitioners, police, essential service providers, crisis managers, security and emergency service providers, humanitarian agencies, sterilization personnel and volunteers.
