DUBAI/HAMBURG- Iraq's trade ministry is believed to have cancelled a restricted tender to buy least 30,000 tonnes of rice from the United States which closed on Wednesday, traders said.

No purchase was reported.

Iraq had sought offers from a limited number of suppliers in the United States and had not issued a formal international tender. Long grain white rice was sought.
