UAE - The non-oil foreign trade between the UAE and the US has exceeded $11 billion in the first half (H1) of 2020, UAE Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, announced in a recent press release.
This announcement was made during a meeting held with the US Secretary of Commerce, with Wilbur L. Ross, and the US Trade Representative, Robert Lighthizer.
In 2019, the non-oil foreign trade between the UAE and the US reached $26.3 billion in 2019.
Al Marri remarked that the UAE is the largest non-oil foreign trading partner for the US in the region, as the country accounts for more than 40% of the US total non-oil foreign trade with the Arab countries.
Meanwhile, The UAE minister of economy noted that the UAE represents 41% of the US non-oil foreign trade with the GCC countries.
The UAE investments in the US markets recorded $27.6 billion by the end of 2019, and the country ranked first on the Arab level and 20th globally among the countries investing in the US.
