PARIS - Algeria's state agency OAIC bought around 660,000 tonnes of milling wheat for shipment in September in a tender that closed on Tuesday, European traders said on Wednesday.

OAIC paid between $234 and $237 per tonne, cost and freight included, for the wheat, they said.

The origin of the wheat was optional but traders said it would likely be French.

OAIC, one of the world's biggest grain importers, does not disclose details of its tenders and results reported by traders are estimates.
