The Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Office at Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) has received more than 1111 case reports since the beginning of 2018 until the end of June. The Office receives reports from the community members and the institutions 24/7.

In line with the directives of the wise leadership to provide the best services, the Municipality is giving all reports, calls and requests serious consideration. It follows them up to meet the requirements of the community in a flexible mechanism that contributes to the rapid response to all requests and communications.

The Municipality welcomes calls and reports from community members around the clock and on all weekdays through the emergency number for the Abu Dhabi City Municipality (993) and on WhatsApp (056-9939930).           

During the first half of this year, the Municipality has dealt with (9283) phone calls in various areas and responded to queries from the public.

During this period, the Municipality has received 150 regular reports, 810 moderately important reports, 124 urgent reports that required rapid reaction, and 27 very important reports. It has successfully dealt with all these reports efficiently and professionally.

The Municipality is seeking to preserve public assets and facilities and respond to the requests of the community, members and strategic partners through dealing with any emergencies and developments related to these assets, besides redressing the situation and taking the requisite measures in this regard. The Municipality had received 99 reports about road emergencies, 300 reports about maintenance and lighting repairing, and 391 reports about gardening, agriculture and irrigation. It had also handled 129 reports relating to rainwater drainage networks, 126 reports about the city appearance, and 66 other different reports covering various areas bringing the total number to 1111 reports.

In order to preserve the public safety and the existing municipal assets, the reports have been dealt with in a professional manner based at the highest standards of health and safety through the existing projects and resources available to the Abu Dhabi City Municipality. Moreover, the Municipality has coordinated with other local authorities and strategic partners in responding to some reports and dealing with them in a team spirit, as such reports were related to more than one entity and required coordinated efforts and immediate response.

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality appreciates the need of responding immediately to reports and stands fully prepared to interact and respond to all reports to reduce the impact of emergency situations on the social and economic aspects.

The Municipality studies recurrent reports to analyses their causes to find out best permanent solutions in a way that increases the efficiency of the services provided and ensures that such reports are not repeated in future. The Municipality attaches paramount attention to developing and improving the emergency and crisis management system and considers it a strategic priority.

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Office calls upon all community members and institutions to contribute to reducing the impacts of the negative practices through calling the emergency number and reporting any unusual observations.
