• Four-day show to run from 4pm to 10pm; to be fun-filled family outing, with on-water stunt performances, live music, food stalls

Abu Dhabi-UAE: – The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS) 2019 is all set to begin tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) Marina, with the participation of 284 companies and brands in the leisure marine industry. The four-day show, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, will run daily from 4pm to 10pm until it draws to a close on October 19.

ADIBS 2019 is organised by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company. The 40,000 sq.m. purpose- built ADNEC Marina, which will be the key venue of the show, will berth the latest yachts, fishing boats, power boats, catamarans and house-boats produced by local, regional and international companies. Tickets for ADIBS can be purchased through the show’s website www.adibs.ae or at the exhibition entrance.

ADIBS 2019 will evoke a sense of the rich maritime tradition of the UAE. Apart from the sophisticated marine leisure vessels, there are also fishing and diving equipment companies displaying their ware. ADIBS has partnered with Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Company (ADIMSC) to gather marine sports enthusiasts to practice and present their favourite sports for the visitors to enjoy. Live on-water stunts, live music and evening shows are the other crowd pullers. Visitors will have multiple options for entertainment such as enjoying virtual reality fishing or getting active on water with powerboat training or learning useful tricks from top fishing experts and influencers.

As compared to last year, the 2019 edition of ADIBS has a 29 per cent increase in exhibition space and a 5 per cent increase in the number of exhibitors. For manufacturers of the latest technology boats and yachts, ADIBS 2019 is a unique opportunity to showcase their products and services to a global audience of high net-worth buyers, stakeholders, industry professionals and families.

Visitors and stakeholders planning to attend ADIBS 2019 can look forward to special offers and discounts on flights, accommodation, family tours and fun activities through a partnership that is in place between ADIBS and Hala Abu Dhabi, an Etihad company.

The inaugural edition of ADIBS last year attracted more than 21,000 visitors and generated huge interest among local, regional and international companies and exhibitors. The boat show underscores Abu Dhabi’s growing marine tourism potential and promotes the UAE capital as a global hub for the leisure marine industry.

While Department of Transport (DoT), Abu Dhabi, is the Strategic Partner of ADIBS 2019, the Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Authority (CICPA) and Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club (ADIMSC) are Supporting Partners. Al Suwaidi Marine is the Gold Sponsor and Captain’s Club is the Silver Sponsor of ADIBS 2019. Al Tayer Team is the sponsor of the UAE Manufacturers Pavilion. Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) is the Official Healthcare Provider and Abu Dhabi Ports, the Associate Partner of ADIBS 2019.
