Ippocratis succeeds Irfan Malik who takes over as new Finance Vice-President, 3M International and Staff Operations

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 12 August 2014: 3M announced today that Ippocratis Vrohidis has been appointed Vice-President for the Middle East and Africa region, effective July 1st. In his new role, Ippocratis succeeds Irfan Malik who relocated to Saint Paul as the new Finance Vice-President, 3M International and Staff Operations, effective July 3rd.

The new appointments are in line with 3M's strategy of developing world-class leadership and expanding operations and business presence across various international markets and geographies. In 2013, 3M achieved net sales of USD 30.87 billion, out of which two thirds came from international operations.

Speaking on the new appointments, H.C. Shin, Executive Vice-President, International Operations at 3M said: "Equipped with a blend of strategic, leadership and finance skills, Ippo is a proven leader with excellent record of delivering operational efficiency and outstanding financial results across a wide range of businesses. I am sure that his strengths will serve well for 3M's operations in the MEA region and will lead the company towards further growth in this highly promising region."

Ippocratis, who served as Finance Vice-President for Asia Pacific at 3M, will build on his leadership experience and capabilities to bring further growth to 3M's businesses across the MEA region through strong focus on market penetration and geographical expansion. He will succeed Irfan Malik, who served as Vice-President for the MEA region for the past four years, and will be located in Dubai.
