Mubasher: Kuwait’s Minister of Education and Higher Education Saud Al Harbi emphasised that studying at schools, universities, as well as public and private colleges will be resumed on Tuesday 4 August, as per the cabinet's decision, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

The education ministry was tasked to prepare detailed and organising decisions for the application of the said decision amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) consequences and also in light of the preventive measures taken by all relevant sectors of the state against the pandemic.

There is no intention to cancel of the academic year, the minister stressed, adding that he will submit a report to the government in mid-July where he will be evaluating the current situation and future scenarios.

He further referred that the ministry’s executives are meeting on a regular basis to check on the latest developments to resume study according to the approved plan and also to speed up with the launch of phase two of online education.
