MANAMA: Customs Affairs president Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa has granted the Economic Operator certificate to Nestlé Bahrain Trading, which has fulfilled the certificate’s criteria.

The criteria include the commitment to the maximum level of customs systems and procedures and related activities listed in the Customs Affairs’ economic operator guide.

Shaikh Ahmed said that the Economic Operator is part of the international trade movement that meets the World Customs Organisation (WCO) systems. It includes importers, exporters, manufacturers, mediators, transportation companies, ports, airports, ports operators, warehouses and distributors.

The Customs Affairs chief asserted that companies interested in receiving the certificate should visit the website www.bahraincustoms.gov.bh to know about the criteria and conditions for accreditation.
